Our beer has a long and colorful history. Valley Brew originated in the 1930’s at a now defunct regional brewery that served the 49’ers, burned down at least once and survived proabition. Established in 1853 at Stockton near the steamship laden waters of the Sacramento River this gold rush era brewery was one of the first ever established in Califonia. After brewing for more than 100 years the brewery closed it’s doors in 1959 and with it the famous Valley Brew. But all was not lost! In June of 1994 Valley Brewing Company opened as a brewpub on the Miracle Mile in Stockton. Soon, in early 2007 work began on installation of a new 30 BBL Steam Fired Brewhouse at the West Fremont Street warehouse location. In December of 2007 the new production brewery installation was completed and our first batch was brewed in January 2008. Our first 22 oz. commercial bottling runs started in July 2009. Another chapter has now begun.
Valley Brewing Company beers are highly rated by all the consumer beer rating sites, magazines and by professional judges. Valley Brewing Company’s “Old Inventory” just won a Gold Medel at the prestiges Great American Brew Festival in Denver, Colorado. Release date is scheduled for January 2010 for this wonderful “Barlywine Style” ale.
Valley Brewing Company beers can be found at all the finer bottle shops, restaruants, pubs and markets from the S.F. Bay Area north to the Oregon boarder.

London Tavern Ale
English-Style Mild
An English Mild from the Central Valley. Flavors of caramel, toffee, cocoa and dark fruit notes. Milds are brewed as a “session” style beer. “Session” beers are lower alcohol beers with lots of flavor, meant to be enjoyed during an extended day of good food and great company. Our version is brewed using 2-Row Barley and a combination of light and dark caramel malts resulting in a beer that can be enjoyed year round.

India Pale Ale
West Coast IPA Style
India Pale Ale is a style that originated in England well over 100 years ago. IPAs were brewed to withstand the long ocean voyages in order to keep the troops stationed in India supplied in proper English Ale. We of course had to do this beer one better. Our version is a West Coast interpretation of this classic style. Aggressive bitter hopping and dry hopping provide a big upfront bite but with a very floral nose, laden with citrus, pine, and herbal notes. We use Magnum hops for a nice clean bittering and Simcoe, Ahtanum, and Amarillo in dry hopping for that wondrous nose. This is a true hopheads dream.

Überhoppy
Imperial Pale Ale
Hops, hops glorious hops! There is no mistaking what this beer is… soft and delicate it is not. Überhoppy is meant to completely overwhelm you with resinous, floral, citrus and herbal hops barely balanced by a huge amount of malt that keeps the Lupulin onslaught from resulting in complete palate destruction. If you do not like hops, Überhoppy is NOT the beer for you. Überhoppy is brewed with 10 different hop varieties and a complete and utter disregard for common logic or sanity. Please consume this beer as soon as possible to ensure maximum hop freshness.
