Snowshoe Brewing Company
Calaveras County restaurant brewpub located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains

Snowshoe Brewing Co. was founded in early 1995, with a mission to brew great beer and create a diverse menu of good food. Our brewpub & restaurant was opened in Arnold, Calaveras County, in the former location of The Meadowmont Inn, overlooking the golf course. Our brewers have created award-winning ales that have ale lovers throughout Central California and the Sierras asking for a Snowshoe at their favorite pubs and restaurants. The staff at our restaurant wants to ensure that your meal is enjoyable… served with our Snowshoe hospitality!

The beer is bottled in Calaveras and brewed using a 15-barrel brewhouse, three 15-barrel fermenters and three 30-barrel fermenters.

Snoweizen Wheat Ale
•An American-style Hefeweizen
• 60% wheat malt gives a smooth citrus finish and easy drinkability
• Available in 1/2 BBLs and 6-packs
•Light in color and taste
•5.1% ABV
Snowshoe Snoweizen is orange-gold in color with a small white foamy head. Aroma is fruity, grassy and sweet. A lighter bodied American Wheat. Malts are fruity and spicy. Hops are slightly spicy. Mild, light and refreshing. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth.

Thompson Pale Ale
•A classic California Pale
•Hops from the Pacific Northwest give a crisp, hoppy finish
•Silver Medal Winner at the 2001 California State Fair
•Available in 1/2 BBLs and 6-packs
• 5.5% ABV
Snowshoe Thompson Pale Ale is a medium-bodied, copper-colored ale with malty nose and distinct hop finish. Fruity, hoppy, and refreshing. Very balanced and flavorful. Fresh, clean, and tasty.

Grizzly Brown Ale
•A brown ale, different from a porter or a stout
• Six different malts make this smooth, rich-flavored ale with a roast finish a local favorite
• Available in 1/2 BBLs and 6-packs
•5.6% ABV
Snowshoe Grizzly Brown Ale is the darkest beer available at the brewery, with a distinct, roasted malt character, dark color and medium hop finish. It pours out a deep brown color with ruby highlights, the head Bunyanesque in size, semi-creamy in texture. The aroma is of lightly toasted grain, caramel, and black walnut sweetness. Grizzly Brown Ale is brewed with five different malts giving it a rich roasted flavor and a smooth finish.
